They’re back! And if you need any convincing to watch the new terminator series, here it is. Just be sure to ignore any negative reviews on IMDB until after you’ve seen it.
- It’s about robots who want to destroy humanity, and an artificial intelligence that wants to take over the world. I could stop right here, but just for good measure, I’ll go on. They’ve also thrown in some destiny and identity themes; always interesting.
- Summer Glau plays the most kick-ass sidekick, excelling once again at beating everyone up.
- Fresh from cutting his teeth on another series about robots hell-bent on genocide, Bear McCreary’s score will completely blow your mind.
- Plenty of soothing ACTION, Action, action. More of what we loved about the original Terminator movies.
- Oh, and did I mention the robots? ;-)
Well, I’m off to rent this, this and this to catch up on the story.
Incidentally, it would seem that The Sarah Connor Chronicles takes place in a world where the events in T3 never happened. I don’t expect this will ever be explained, so we can just consider T3 to be another “what if” possible future.
